My son has a new talent!

My little boy is learning new things every day. this week he has mastered the art of finding underwear that are neatly folded waiting to be put away and strategically placing them on his head. then he proceeds to run and play like nothing has changed. i'm scared to think what travis is teaching him when those two are left alone together!! :) What next. hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

The newest addition to our family....

Boomer is his name. he is a 9 week old boston terrier that we got from detroit lakes last weekend. Travis was the final decision maker on this and needless to say, my opinion on getting another pet was not even considered :) however, once i saw the little turkey, i couldn't resist. he is very content to sit on anyones lap and is very playful as well. so far things are going ok however i wish dogs were as easy to litter box train as cats are! wishful thinking! well i better go. talk to you all soon.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was a busy time for us this year. Friday we had thanksgiving at Harlan and Lori's in Lehr, Saturday in jamestown with jody and abby's family and saturday night with the brandner/benson crew, then sunday at our place with my mom jason and jon, tim and aysha, dale, jess and kids and my dad. there were children of all ages including travis and i who could not get enough of playing guitar hero 2( trust me, once you start, you'll be dancing in no time). Dale and jess had their kids with. they are so much fun. i mostly held the baby the entire time but someone had to do it! he's so cute you can hardly stand it. carson was pretty pooped out after all the turkey and playing. at 8pm he went into his room, pointed to his crib and that was it, he was done for the night. it was so funny. he had had enough. hope everyone else had a good time with their families and enjoyed the food and fun. until next time....

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! THIS YEAR WAS CARSON'S FIRST "OFFICIAL" TRICK OR TREATING HALLOWEEN. WE WENT TO THE NURSING HOME TO SEE ALL THE OLD GRANDMAS AND GRANDPAS HANDING OUT CANDY, THEN WENT TO HIS GRANDMAS AND GRANDPAS THAT LIVE IN TOWN, THEN TO A FEW OTHER PLACES AND BY THE TIME WE WERE DONE, I THINK I WAS MORE POOPED OUT THAN HE WAS. HE WANTED TO KEEP GOING. HE WOULD GET SO EXCITED ABOUT THE CANDY THAT HE WOULDN'T EVEN WAIT FOR ME TO TAKE THE WRAPPER OFF THE CANDY, HE WOULD JUST DIG RIGHT IT, PAPER AND ALL. THE POOR KID ACTED LIKE HE HASN'T EATEN IN DAYS! TRICK OR TREATING AT THIS AGE IS KIND OF A PAIN IN THE BUTT FOR ME THOUGH BECAUSE IT IS MORE HASSLE BUCKLING HIM IN AND OUT OF HIS CARSEAT THAT IT'S ALMOST NOT WORTH THE CANDY. MMMMMM......corn!

Hi all. i had to share these pictures with you. My corn "crop" was pretty scarce this year. it was more like crap than a crop, but anyways the cobs were just the perfect size for little hands and mouth. carson went to town on this cob of corn and liked it so much he cried when i took it away from him! ah, the little joys in life.

PARTY TIME!!!

It was party time at the Glaesman household. On Saturday, Carson had his big bad 1st birthday party. It was a big bash considering i have so many family members as does travis so needless to say that it was a houseful. We had cake and ice cream and i have to say the cakes that my mom and i made turned out quite well. i kind of impressed myself (yeah, now i'm just bragging!). Carson got many great toys and of course i have no where to put them so i will soon be cleaning out the old toys and replacing them with the new ones. hopefully our upstairs gets done soon so the toys can then go up there instead of in my living room. anyways, hope you enjoy the pictures!

Trip to the Zoo!

We took our first trip to the Dakota Zoo with Carson last weekend. he had a very good time. i really enjoyed the otters and the goose that came right up to eat corn out of our hands. it was alot of fun. I can't believe summer is almost over. carson will be 1 in 2 wks. CRAZY!! jason and jon started school on tuesday. Jason has his first football game as a senior tonight. hope all goes well with that. wish him luck. until next time...

He's on the move!

Look out ladies and gentlemen, there's a new walker in town!! the most steps he can take is about 5 but he has improved so much even in one week. now i can be one of those people that say, "they just grow up too fast". i now know from experience. we will be celebrating a birthday in about 4 weeks so that should be exciting. well better go, he's climbing up the steps! bye bye!

New words, tri-county fair, and the church......

Hi there everyone! hope all is well with you and your families. carson is getting bigger by the day. he has learned some new words like "da, da" and "hot" and he has now learned to wave bye when people leave so he is turning into quite the little man. not a baby anymore that's for sure.

last weekend we had a fun filled weekend of mud races, bull riding, and the infamous ladies mud wrestling at the tri-county fair. let me tell you, you wanna see at good show, the mud wrestling was a hoot. nothing like seeing your friend getting sat on by a big old carnie with cut off cotton shorts that showed she was not wearing much underneath (if you know what i mean). it was a whole lotta nasty! but very much enjoyable to watch. hopefully next year it will bigger and better, including the carnies!!!

otherwise nothing else is new around here. travis is busy moving houses. they just got done moving the catholic church from burnstad to steele. took them a couple days but they got it finished.

i'm busy working at the hospital. we have a new administrator so there have been some changes we have to work through but hopefully things will get better soon. well i suppose i better go. hope all is well with everyone have a nice HOT week.

Watermelon....

Carson had a fun time eating watermelon for the first time. Man, did he chow down. I think he is ready for the watermelon eating contest! we had pictures taken at jcpenney so when they are ready i will post them on here as well, but that's all for now. hope everyone has a fun and safe 4th.

Community Rummage Sale!

This saturday was the community rummage sale and man, did i make a haul for carson. i got him so many clothes for only about $25. it was awesome! some of the things still had tags on them. what a steal! i bought carson this turtle thing that he can walk behind and now he is everywhere! we have to steer for him cuz he doesn't quite have that down yet but if he needs to go in a straight line, look out. i also bought him his own blue's clues chair so now he has his own chair to watch tv in.

A Moving We Will Go!

Travis has had a busy week. His dad decided a long time ago to move his house out to his farm and this week it FINALLY happened. It took one day to load it and one day to drive and move it but it is at it's final resting place. it looks really nice out there but when you are in the house, it looks so weird because the view is definitely not the same. Travis' dad will love it out there. the only thing is, is that grandma glaesman isn't across the road to come and clean, make meals, provide snacks, etc. instead they will have to drive about a mile for that but i'm sure she will be there with open arms and a full fridge. Carson was out there too for the big move. it tuckered him out so much that he almost a 4 hour nap! i think everyday should be moving! Enjoy the pictures!
