Boomer got fixed yesterday and was feeling a little under the weather needless to say so Carson was camped out right next to him. it was too funny.

Carson was busy today fixing his bike. He even was laying underneath just like a real mechanic does. Too funny. Kids remember the funniest things sometimes!

Birthday weekend!

Well, it's official. my little boy is a toddler. where does the time go? remember when you heard your parents and grandparents say that and you would roll your eyes and think, "how stupid" well, it's true. the time does fly and sometimes you didn't even see it coming. we had a fun filled weekend for carson's 2nd birthday. a weekend filled with the zoo, a hog roast, gifts, gifts, and more gifts. by the end of the weekend, carson was sleeping quite a bit. it's alot of work turning 2! enjoy the pictures!

CARSON THE COWBOY!

Carson has turned into my little cowboy! He loves his little cowboy boots that we got a rummage sale last year but finally fit him now. As you can see, it doesn't matter what his attire, boots go with everything, even pajamas!! he is starting to really talk and make his needs known. Terrible two's anyone?? we will be celebrating his 2nd birthday in about 1 month and I cannot believe how the time flies. Cutest Baby Contest!

I entered Carson into the cutest baby contest in the bismarck tribune a few weeks ago and much to my delight he won in his category. there were several categories to enter him in and i chose the bon apetite category and entered a picture of carson eating a corn on the cob. Easter Eggs

Carson had a fun time this year dying easter eggs. he was so funny to watch. he wanted to smell them when they were done. too funny. i'm not sure if eggs is a nice thing to smell but he had a fun time doing it. Happy Easter Everyone!

New words and new pictures

Things have been well here at the Glaesman household. Carson continues to surprise me every single day with some new word or action that he has picked up from somewhere. His latest new words are spongebob and boomer, both of which came out of his mouth with no problem or hesitation and totally threw me for a loop.


Travis has been very busy with his lambing and his new adventure of the year, Pee Wee Wrestling coach. let me tell you, it's quite an adventure to say the least trying to keep that many little kids under control and actually have them go home safe at the end of the day. Thank goodness he has lots of help from other parents that know what they are doing to help him along the way.

I've been busy at work lately too. We have had a few very busy weeks with influenza and the stomach flu going around. At least it is job security. Still working 3 - 12 hours shifts per week so that is nice that i am home 4 days out of the week. Carson likes it when he doesn't have to get up at 6:30 to go to daycare. He likes to sleep, which is nice most of the time, except on daycare days! then it's a battle for him and me both.

As you can see, we had family pictures taken again at jcpenny's. they turned out so good. carson did such a nice job!! needless to say my checkbook doesn't like it but i should never have pictures taken with the intention of only picking out one pose becuase that NEVER happens. Well, hope things are well with everyone else. Enjoy the nice weather.

Sledding!!

Sledding is so much fun! Carson found out for the first time how much fun sledding can be. Since mother nature decided to dump what seems to be about 20 feet of snow, we decided to take advantage of the situation and take carson for a walk (not to mention some much needed exercise for his mom as well). we bought this nifty little sled from fleetfarm in fargo (omg, bismarck really needs to get one of these stores up there). this sled is top of the line. it comes with a little windbreaker so little noses don't get so cold. what will they come up with next. it was a lot of fun but carson kept fogging up the inside. i wonder if they make one with a window defroster in it too?! anyways, hope everyone had a merry christmas and happy new year! until next time....

My son has a new talent!

My little boy is learning new things every day. this week he has mastered the art of finding underwear that are neatly folded waiting to be put away and strategically placing them on his head. then he proceeds to run and play like nothing has changed. i'm scared to think what travis is teaching him when those two are left alone together!! :) What next. hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday!

The newest addition to our family....

Boomer is his name. he is a 9 week old boston terrier that we got from detroit lakes last weekend. Travis was the final decision maker on this and needless to say, my opinion on getting another pet was not even considered :) however, once i saw the little turkey, i couldn't resist. he is very content to sit on anyones lap and is very playful as well. so far things are going ok however i wish dogs were as easy to litter box train as cats are! wishful thinking! well i better go. talk to you all soon.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was a busy time for us this year. Friday we had thanksgiving at Harlan and Lori's in Lehr, Saturday in jamestown with jody and abby's family and saturday night with the brandner/benson crew, then sunday at our place with my mom jason and jon, tim and aysha, dale, jess and kids and my dad. there were children of all ages including travis and i who could not get enough of playing guitar hero 2( trust me, once you start, you'll be dancing in no time). Dale and jess had their kids with. they are so much fun. i mostly held the baby the entire time but someone had to do it! he's so cute you can hardly stand it. carson was pretty pooped out after all the turkey and playing. at 8pm he went into his room, pointed to his crib and that was it, he was done for the night. it was so funny. he had had enough. hope everyone else had a good time with their families and enjoyed the food and fun. until next time....

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE! THIS YEAR WAS CARSON'S FIRST "OFFICIAL" TRICK OR TREATING HALLOWEEN. WE WENT TO THE NURSING HOME TO SEE ALL THE OLD GRANDMAS AND GRANDPAS HANDING OUT CANDY, THEN WENT TO HIS GRANDMAS AND GRANDPAS THAT LIVE IN TOWN, THEN TO A FEW OTHER PLACES AND BY THE TIME WE WERE DONE, I THINK I WAS MORE POOPED OUT THAN HE WAS. HE WANTED TO KEEP GOING. HE WOULD GET SO EXCITED ABOUT THE CANDY THAT HE WOULDN'T EVEN WAIT FOR ME TO TAKE THE WRAPPER OFF THE CANDY, HE WOULD JUST DIG RIGHT IT, PAPER AND ALL. THE POOR KID ACTED LIKE HE HASN'T EATEN IN DAYS! TRICK OR TREATING AT THIS AGE IS KIND OF A PAIN IN THE BUTT FOR ME THOUGH BECAUSE IT IS MORE HASSLE BUCKLING HIM IN AND OUT OF HIS CARSEAT THAT IT'S ALMOST NOT WORTH THE CANDY. HE TOOK A TUMBLE ON THE CEMENT ON SUNDAY SO HE HURT HIS NOSE SO HE DOESN'T LOOK LIKE SUCH A TOUGH SUPERMAN!!

MMMMMM......corn!

Hi all. i had to share these pictures with you. My corn "crop" was pretty scarce this year. it was more like crap than a crop, but anyways the cobs were just the perfect size for little hands and mouth. carson went to town on this cob of corn and liked it so much he cried when i took it away from him! ah, the little joys in life.

PARTY TIME!!!

It was party time at the Glaesman household. On Saturday, Carson had his big bad 1st birthday party. It was a big bash considering i have so many family members as does travis so needless to say that it was a houseful. We had cake and ice cream and i have to say the cakes that my mom and i made turned out quite well. i kind of impressed myself (yeah, now i'm just bragging!). Carson got many great toys and of course i have no where to put them so i will soon be cleaning out the old toys and replacing them with the new ones. hopefully our upstairs gets done soon so the toys can then go up there instead of in my living room. anyways, hope you enjoy the pictures!
